01) Agreement to Terms

By booking, attending, or using the facilities at Si Sauna + Ice, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These terms apply to all services, memberships, and use of the premises.

02) Acknowledgement of Risk

You acknowledge that sauna and ice bath use involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Heat exposure and dehydration

  • Cold shock response (including rapid breathing, increased heart rate)

  • Dizziness, fainting, or loss of consciousness

  • Muscle cramps or spasms

  • Hypothermia (from prolonged cold exposure)

  • Injury or, in rare cases, serious harm or death

You understand that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

03) Health & Medical Conditions

You must not use the facilities if you have, or suspect you may have, any of the following conditions without prior medical clearance:

  • Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease

  • High blood pressure (uncontrolled)

  • Respiratory conditions (including severe asthma)

  • Neurological conditions (e.g. epilepsy, Parkinson’s, MS)

  • Diabetes with complications

  • Pregnancy

  • Fever, illness, infection, or open wounds

You confirm that:

  • You are physically and mentally fit to participate

  • You will consult a medical professional if unsure

  • You will inform staff of any relevant health concerns

04) Assumption of Risk

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you:

  • Accept full responsibility for your participation

  • Assume all risks associated with use of the facilities

  • Release Si Sauna + Ice from liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use

This does not exclude rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

05) Safety & Facility Use

To ensure a safe and respectful environment, you agree to:

General Use

  • Follow all instructions from staff

  • Use facilities at your own pace

  • Stay hydrated

  • Exit immediately if feeling unwell

Sauna & Ice Guidelines

  • Limit sauna use to ~15–20 minutes at a time

  • Take breaks between rounds

  • Shower before entering ice baths

  • Keep head above water in ice baths

  • Do not bring oils into the sauna

  • Sit on a towel in the sauna

Conduct
You must:

  • Wear appropriate swimwear

  • Bring a towel

  • Respect others in the space

You must not:

  • Use alcohol or drugs before or during sessions

  • Engage in unsafe, disruptive, or aggressive behaviour

  • Use offensive language

Si reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person not complying with these rules.

06) Devices & Personal Belongings

  • Electronic device use is discouraged in wet areas for safety and privacy

  • Si is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings

07) Bookings, Cancellations & No Shows

  • Sessions must be booked in advance

  • Cancellations made less than 3 hours before your session are non-refundable

  • No-shows may result in forfeited sessions or fees

We understand plans change — please contact us as early as possible.

08) Arrival & Session Times

  • Please arrive on time (or slightly early)

  • Late arrivals may be accepted up to 15 minutes after start time

  • Sessions cannot be extended for late arrival

  • Unfinished sessions are non-refundable

09) Memberships & Packages

Memberships

  • Billed weekly in advance

  • Minimum term may apply (as specified at purchase)

  • Payments are automatically debited from your nominated account

Packages & Casual Visits

  • Must be paid in full prior to use

  • Validity periods may apply

Failure of payment may result in suspension of access until resolved.

10) Suspension & Cancellation (Memberships)

  • Memberships may be paused with written notice (conditions may apply)

  • Cancellation requires written notice (minimum notice period may apply)

  • Payments will continue during the notice period

11) Access to Premises

  • Access is only permitted during your booked session time

  • Si may temporarily close facilities for maintenance or safety

  • Reasonable notice will be provided where possible

12) Emergency Medical Consent

You consent to receiving medical treatment if required in an emergency where you are unable to provide consent.

13) Privacy

We collect personal information to:

  • Manage bookings and memberships

  • Process payments

  • Communicate with you

Your information is stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not sell your data.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Si’s liability is limited to the value of the services provided

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss

Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15) Release & Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Si Sauna + Ice from any claims arising from:

  • Your use of the facilities

  • Breach of these terms

  • Your negligent or unsafe behaviour

16) Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises:

  • Both parties agree to attempt to resolve it in good faith

  • If unresolved, the matter may be taken to a court of competent jurisdiction

17) Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

18) Changes to Terms

Si Sauna + Ice may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published here.
